Leopold Bloom Art Award - semi finalists
Thanks to the changes in the application process, initiated by the Award’s founders Mary McLoughlin and John Ward and by the organiser Pepper Art Projects, nearly 130 artists applied for the prestigious award.Unlike in previous years, the applicants didn’t have to send aletter of intention from the selected institution (for a future show). The winner and the organiser will find together the exhibition hosting European institution that correspond the best to the winner’s profile and to the exhibition project.Another novelty was the jury process, that worked in two steps. This year for the first time the semi-finalists were also chosen by an independent, international, three-member pre-jury. The jury will choose the finalists, visit their studios and announce the winner.
